We are looking for a Supply Chain Warehouse and Inventory Control Intern. This position will be based at our Sacramento area facility located in California.
During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Supply Chain Management department where you will gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control processes, and Inbound logistics coordination to support efficient material flow and supply chain performance.

A little bit about us
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.
How does Warehouse Logistics play into the big picture?
Our Warehouse and Inventory Control team ensures inventory accuracy auditing, timely availability of materials and components, enabling seamless production and delivery of rail vehicles to our customers.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation in the SAP warehouse management system
- Support warehouse layout optimization and material flow improvements
- Analyze inventory data and generate performance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material discrepancies

Who Should Apply?
- Education / Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Supply Chain Management or Business Admin with a Supply Chain focus, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics or Statistics with strong technical or analytical aptitude for problem solving
- Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills
- Industry knowledge and/or interest
