Position Title: Commodity Management Professional
Salary $143,850 to $194,400 / Year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week
Summary of Duties: Work as part of the commodity management team for the Regional Solutions and Service Business Unit, with $900+ million in various direct materials categories related to comfort, security, and safety of commercial buildings. Manage approximately $300 million in critical project specific 3rd party commodities and services. The commodities have supply strategies and a supply base of stable suppliers which are industry leaders. Commodities include electrical subcontracted labor for HVAC control applications and medium voltage electrical services including transformers and switchgear and subcontracted labor. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate supply agreements and annual pricing with suppliers. Create development agreements to improve on-time delivery, quality, and carbon reduction. Identify frequent use products which will be supplied for the majority of projects. Identify on-time or niche products to meet project requirements. Collaborate with the portfolio/product management team and jointly determine preferred material and convince estimators and engineers to use the standard material. Define strategy for subcontracted labor to achieve business goals. 10% domestic travel required. Hybrid work permitted.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Global Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Sourcing Manager, Procurement Manager, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: HVAC knowledge and experience; Developing innovative ways to achieve savings, drive digitalization, and implement carbon reduction in the supply base; Dashboards, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation project or program management, blockchain, sustainability, cybersecurity; Developing commodity strategies; Writing and negotiating contracts; Drive programmatic savings; Supplier relationship management; Microsoft products, including Excel; Industry knowledge of subcontracted labor and electrical services; SAP in a strategic procurement capacity; Creating QlikSense dashboards; and Tableau, PowerBI, or other digitalization tools. The position requires one (1) year of management experience. 10% domestic travel required. Hybrid work permitted.
