About the Internship
This immersive internship offers hands-on experience in sales, project management, and some engineering within Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure division. You’ll rotate through key departments focused on smart buildings, energy performance, and sustainability, gaining exposure to real-world projects and customer engagements.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Business Development (30%)
- Assist with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach
- Support sales presentations, proposals, and CRM data management
- Shadow sales calls and customer meetings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer engagement
- Analyze sales performance data and contribute ideas for growth
- Learn go-to-market strategies and B2B relationship building
Project Management (50%)
- Shadow experienced Project Managers on active construction and retrofit projects
- Help develop project schedules, track progress, and manage procurement
- Review specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
- Participate in job take-offs, turnover meetings, and change-order processes
- Contribute to project close-out documentation and reporting
Engineering & Sustainability (20%)
- Learn how Siemens develops energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions
- Rotate through core business segments: Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security, and Energy/Sustainability Systems
- Participate in preliminary energy audits and technical solution development
Who Should Apply
Ideal Majors:
- Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Business Administration, Sales/Marketing (with technical aptitude)
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate (sophomore or junior) at a 4-year U.S. college or university
- Earliest graduation date: August 2027
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred)
- Participation in sales engineering clubs or professional sales certification (preferred)
- No relocation assistance or housing stipend is provided. Must be willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area.
- Some travel may be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship. This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and HB1 as well as OPT/CPT.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $24–$28/hour (based on graduation year and location)
- 401K Eligibility: Interns may contribute to Siemens’ 401K program
- Relocation: No relocation or housing stipend provided
