Fire Sprinkler Inspectors perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. They also supply hands-on training and coaching to entry-level Inspectors. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to entry level fire alarm inspectors, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team. Our Fire Sprinkler Inspectors are crucial to a company's fire safety strategy, contributing to the protection of life, property, and business operations. Their role ensures compliance, mitigates risks, and provides peace of mind to all building owners.
As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will:
- Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards
- Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations. Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions
- Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules performing service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types as needed. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed and complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites
- Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training
- Provide subject matter expertise to peers
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire/Life Safety Systems
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand design and construction documents
- On-the-job experience estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs
- Must have or obtain NICET Level II Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems or state certification within 12 months
- Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted, and must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- 3+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems

The pay range for this position is $38,430 - $65,880 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
