Join Siemens Mobility in shaping the future of transport as the POC General Ledger (G/L) Accountant, you’ll ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS, Siemens Financial Guidelines, and legal standards. Responsibilities include managing journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, and collaborating across business units and accounting teams.
This role supports Siemens Mobility North America and offers broad exposure to finance functions. Based in Alpharetta, GA, you’ll report to the Head of Accounting and contribute to ongoing process and system improvements.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
As the POC General Ledger (G/L) Accountant, you will serve as a key liaison between the Siemens Mobility finance organization and business units, ensuring accurate and insightful financial reporting.
- Manage general ledger accounting and related account reconciliations
- Analyze project accounting data to ensure accurate financial statements
- Support the Head of Accounting in evaluating general ledger impacts on financials
- Prepare and present financial statement fluctuation reports to leadership
- Provide general ledger data for internal/external audits and divisional reviews
- Conduct detailed balance sheet reviews and deliver informative analysis
- Collaborate across all Siemens Mobility finance teams and act as a business interface
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Degree from an accredited college/university in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a multinational environment
- An understanding of percentage of completion (POC) accounting (construction project accounting).
- Preferred knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $93,800 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
