Overview

As the IT Service Manager for the Tax Determination platform, you will be part of the global Siemens Healthineers IT team. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, and IT to ensure the reliable operation, continuous improvement, and compliance of the Vertex-based tax determination services.

Task and Responsibilities

  • You are the end-to-end owner of the global Vertex Tax Determination service.
  • You act as the primary contact for the Tax organization on all technical and service-related matters related to tax determination.
  • You manage the product backlog and coordinate technical implementations based on evolving business and regulatory requirements.
  • You are responsible for Change, Problem, and Incident Management processes for the Vertex platform.
  • You define and maintain the service roadmap and oversee release management.
  • You lead test management, including planning and execution of test cases for new features and updates.
  • You coordinate go-live activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder alignment.
  • You manage external vendors and service providers involved in the delivery and support of the Vertex solution.
  • You ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including quality, information security, and data privacy.
  • You ensure seamless integration of Vertex with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, billing, procurement).

Education, Experience and Knowledge/Skills

Education:

· Preferably you hold a university degree in information System/ technology, computer science or in a related field

Preferred technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration
  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and tools
  • Experience in Requirement Engineering and Agile delivery framework
  • ITIL certification is a plus
  • Experience with Vertex O Series or similar tax determination platforms is a plus
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking to manage service landscapes and dependencies.
  • High customer orientation and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively with global stakeholders.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards : starting from 2000 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
