What is your new role about?

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing requirements and specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated and manual test cases, with an emphasis on API tests.
  • Performing thorough API tests and validating interfaces to uncover even the smallest errors and ensure seamless system communication.
  • Meticulously documenting test results in Polarion and creating clear reports.
  • Closely collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA teams across the project to ensure smooth development processes.
  • Creating reports and performing traceability analysis to maintain a perfect overview of the connection between requirements and tests.

What We’re Looking for in our new colleague? / Your Superpowers:

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience with API Testing:

  • You master testing REST and SOAP APIs.
  • You have practical experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.

A Passion for Test Automation:

  • Experience with Playwright for web application automation and cross-browser testing.
  • Knowledge of Cucumber and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles; you can write clear Gherkin scenarios.
  • Experience with Sahi Pro is a plus if you have automated complex web applications.

Proficiency in Test Management & Documentation:

  • You can create and maintain test plans, test cases and test documentation.
  • You are skilled in executing manual tests and meticulously logging results.
  • You are proficient in defect management and tracking.

Experience with Polarion:

  • You can link test cases to requirements.
  • You can create reports and traceability matrices.
  • You are familiar with version and release management.

Who You Are:

  • An Analytical Thinker: You are able to identify edge cases and ensure maximum test coverage through a structured approach.
  • An Excellent Communicator and Team Player: You collaborate effectively with various teams and share your ideas.
  • Independent and Proactive: You can independently plan and execute tests.
  • Experienced in Agile Environments: You have practical experience working in teams using Scrum or Kanban.

Language Skills:

  • English at a communicative level (B2/C1) is a must.
  • German is an advantage, but not a requirement.
