Responsibilities:
Engineering BOP (Balance of Plant):
- Review contracts and seek clarifications, develop engineering concepts and schemes, seek approval from group head, prepare engineering drawings, documents & system houses (P&IDs, layouts and technical specification of equipment’s).
- Ensure correctness of documentation in line with guidelines and customer specifications, interface with customers / consultants for technical discussions & approvals, report progress. (including risks & opportunities)
- Plan and review BOP engineering activities.
- Provide support to PM on technical issues, support in cost control and interact with vendors and supply chain personnel for freezing the specifications and technical requirements (pre order and post order) to meet the customer contract requirements and keep project within cost.
- Understanding of Retrofit job activities like existing TG Train, Auxiliaries study, analysis to suit to new requirements, Knowledge of TG Deck, TG hall layouts, any piping requirements.
- Work experience in design, site installation, commissioning, retrofit jobs etc. of the STG Package is preferable.
- Establish process/equipment documentation including specifications for performance testing, work instructions and inspection and test requirements.
- Standardize the specifications and purchase requirements, engineering of equipment & activities to achieve a reduction in engineers’ hours and/or better costs.
- Shall be capable of handling site queries/ trouble shooting, Customer interface for smooth execution of the Project.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Engineering Graduate (Mechanical) with 8 to 12 years of experience in handling plant engineering activities of thermal power plant projects.
- Conversant with the latest Codes and Standards ASME, HEI, TEMA, API etc.
- Knowledge of HRSG, Steam Cycle, Water cycle & Cooling Water cycle
- Knowledge of Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics and Heat and mass transfer.
- Prior experience of Lube oil system, Heat exchanger design as per HEI, Power plant equipment sizing (Boiler and its auxiliaries excluded).
- Well versed with AutoCAD and Microsoft office.
- Experience in 3D modeling software shall be added advantage.
