Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $97,157.00 – 107,939.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: The Project Controls Engineer is responsible for tracking and reporting complex plant schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and graphical presentation based on inputs from functional department managers. Understanding issues related to plant performance, forecasts, bottlenecks, issues, and trends of complex projects and manufacturing phases. Working in the development of plant wide master schedules (key team member). Working to determine impacts with impact analysis on issues from all phases of a project (design, procurement, manufacturing, and commissioning). Driving operations for mitigations and recoveries. Monitoring workload capacity and backlog. Identifying optimized resource allocation opportunities to ensure that customer expectations, deadlines, and internal financial goals are met. Running reports for cross-functional departments to monitor schedule performance at various levels with respect to baselines and factory manpower loading. Coordinating and regulating various meetings such as project progress reviews with various levels of management.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Project Controls Engineer - related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Implementing project/manufacturing scheduling principles including critical path analysis, schedule risks assessments, updates to Primavera P6 sequence, and logic relationships.
2. Developing reports or dashboards for different levels of management that support understanding and timely decision-making.
3. Monitoring and updating multiple project production schedules for a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment.
4. Developing production templates for a manufacturing or construction environment.
5. Developing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) milestone schedules to drive process improvement and reach business goals.
May telecommute pursuant to company policy. [Hybrid role]
