What you’ll be doing as part the STS team in The Netherlands Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for building and testing mechanical systems? Siemens Software is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Test Operations Intern to support our Engineering team in prototyping, assembling, and validating hardware setups for simulation and control systems. As an intern, you will work closely with engineers in our R&D facility to ensure testing setups run smoothly, support prototype assembly and calibration, and help document test procedures and results. This is a great opportunity to deepen your technical skills while contributing to innovative industrial software and hardware solutions. Key Responsibilities - Assist in assembling mechanical and electronic prototypes
- Support the setup and execution of test procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot test benches and equipment
- Help analyze and report test results
- Document procedures and support process improvement efforts
- Collaborate across teams to support hardware and mechatronic developments
What we’re looking for A student currently enrolled in a technical or engineering vocational program (MBO or HBO) - Strong interest in hands-on technical work and mechanical systems
- Comfortable using tools and workshop equipment (e.g., drilling, sanding, assembling)
- Basic understanding of SolidWorks, Excel, and technical drawings
- Communicative in Dutch or English
- Reliable, eager to learn, and safety-conscious (VCA certification preferred)
SSP Netherlands 2025–2026 – Conditions & Eligibility (Test Operations Internship) The Siemens Software Strategic Student Program (SSP) in the Netherlands will run from 1 September 2025 to 28 February 2026 (6 months). For vocational students (MBO/HBO), extensions may be considered based on academic approval and internship performance. Interns in this track will support Test Operations in mechatronic assembly, hardware validation, and prototyping activities.
