We are looking for a Business Development Manager. This position will be a remote based role.
The position requires pre-sales support activities involving Product Management, Sales, Regional Business Developers and Channel Partners to address applications involving smart components. This will involve travel and demo kit skills for trade shows, and other customer facing events to promote the smart concept and interface with various PLC/DCS systems. In addition, the smart products and demo will be part of our Customer Experience Center in Wendell, NC where customers, sales and service personnel can experience hands on training for these smart components. This will also tie into providing training content and video for our Power Academy training program. Support to our Engineering team for specification documents, and support on requests for programming the smart components will be required.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Work with various EA Business Unit segments including Engineering, Business Development and Customer Service to grow the “Smart MCC” business. The qualified candidate will
- Focus on improving Siemens specification position, create necessary sales tools and implement a successful strategy for increasing product acceptance of “Smart” MCC systems. The candidate should be
- Familiar with DCS/PLC programming, fieldbus network configuration and US Electrical and Safety Codes & Standards such as NFPA 70/79 and UL 845.
- Interaction with inter-company sales professionals and their customers is critical in the promotion of our Smart product lines. Within the Business Unit this position bridges engineering, marketing, sales, and field service.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience in related discipline
- 6+ years of strong experience and expertise with DCS/PLC systems, smart motor control, fieldbus networks and US electrical and safety standards
- Extensive business experience promoting MCC solutions to Industrial Users, EPCs, OEM's, Distribution Channels and BU Sales
Preferred Qualifications:
- The position may require up to 70% travel to support the above activities.

The pay range for this position is $132,650 - $227,400 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
