If you really want to make a difference – make it with us
Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens AG and has been a leading supplier in the field of mobility for over 160 years. Our core business includes rail vehicles, rail automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems and related services. We have always been very innovative in making traveling faster, safer and more comfortable. Today, we need new solutions to new challenges such as climate change and rising populations worldwide. That's what drives us. That's why we shape mobility with passion, always being one step ahead. Through digitalization, we make infrastructures smart and create opportunities that get us from A to B sustainably and seamlessly. Our over 40,000 employees are pioneers in mobility who help to keep the world moving.
Become part of our team in the software test laboratory in Munich Allach. This is equipped with different test benches on which safety-critical software for e.g. displays, central control units or brake control units is tested, which is later used on state-of-the-art locomotives.
What do you contribute?
- You will be responsible for and manage the infrastructure of our software test lab (test benches, PCs, licenses, tools).
- As part of this, you will ensure that all test benches are remote-capable, thus guaranteeing constant availability.
- You will also be responsible for the IT security in the lab in accordance with ISO27001. You will, for example, implement IT security measures in cooperation with IT Asset Managers of other laboratories of other locations.
- You will also drive forward and implement the optimization of the working environment and processes in the test lab (e.g. through automation, optimization of cable routing).
- You will also be the contact person (f/m/d) in the event of any difficulties in the test lab (e.g. problems with the remote connection, networks, or tools).
- You plan the construction of new test benches (IT, electrics and in some cases pneumatics) and provide support in setting up the test benches.
- We will be happy to train you as a qualified electrician to carry out the necessary electrical tests on the test benches.
- You will also be responsible for occupational safety in the test lab.
What do you bring along?
- The basis for your success is a Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable subject or you are a technician in the field of electrical engineering or a comparable field.
- In addition, you have initial professional experience in the field of network technology and have already worked in a test laboratory.
- You have basic knowledge of the practical implementation of IT security and therefore also of the current standards (ISO 27001) and regulations.
- Ideally, you will have good programming skills (e.g. in Python).
- To fulfill the tasks, you will be mostly on site in our software test lab!
- As you will be working in an international environment, we require very good German and English language skills.
What do we offer you?
