Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $132,392.00 – 162,000.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Responsible for the completion of all commercial and financial topics throughout the sales/bid process. Work with the respective Project Manager in all project areas with the objective of executing the assigned projects according to the defined Project Management (PM) standards, customer requirements, and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG). Ensure the accuracy of cost and pricing calculation as well as overall project records. Facilitate all commercial aspects of assigned bid activities: contract analysis, cost calculation, business models, financing concepts, currency, hedging, risks, and opportunities, etc. Set up financial performance plans for projects based on planned delivery schedules for the offered scope during the sales phase, and manage it throughout the project execution phase. Set up and closely monitor revenue recognition: actual vs plan, degree of completion, cost to complete, and total forecasted costs vs planned. Ensure full compliance of revenue and cost recognition with company accounting policies under US-GAAP / IFRS. Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, reconciliation of project cash flow, and constant deviation analysis. Ensure data integrity between SAP back-end and specific front-end tools (division specific). Support the responsible Project Manager on change management issues (variations) relating to the scope of the project. Obtain verification and approval for variations prior to submittal to the customer ensuring appropriate costing and pricing in accordance with company Guidelines. Identify, assess, respond to, monitor, and report all commercial risks and opportunities. Implement and drive measures together with the project manager to leverage opportunities to improve the project performance. Execute currency and commodity hedging insurance (FX). Direct and guide the project organization as necessary to ensure execution of the projects are on time and within the allotted budget.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Project Manager-related occupation.
In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Project Manager-related occupation.
Position requires 36 months of experience in the following:
1. Working with SAP including Operations and Production reports;
2. Reviewing Financial Statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet, AND Cashflow;
3. Working in a project controlling, accounting or finance, contract and subcontract, and supply chain environment;
4. Reporting and controlling experience including Profit and Loss Statement for the assigned projects, balance sheet, AND cash-flow;
5. Working on a project team supporting multiple projects, project managers, and line managers.
Telecommuting may be permissible pursuant to company policy. Up to 20% domestic travel required. [Hybrid role]
