We are looking for a Base Switch Assembler to join our team! This position will be based at our Hingham, MA site on 2nd shift.
Shift Hours: 2nd Shift; 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $22.50
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Position Overview:
The assembler will have the responsibility of the assembly processes in a transfer switch manufacturing environment. Understand mechanical diagrams, wiring diagrams, and BOMs to perform wiring and assembly tasks as directed.
The assembler will be part of a multi-functional production team focused on transfer switch assembly and wiring; reporting directly to the production supervisor and coordinated through the Assembly lead.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a team on complex tasks and get the tasks completed in a timely manner.
- Assemble switches and related equipment.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and BOMs provided.
- Ability to construct electrical panels using accurate power tools and hardware.
- Detail oriented to ensure proper assembly work is done in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to work daily/weekend overtime as required to meet shops demands.
- Knowledge of safe working practices.

Basic Qualifications:
- Able to read and write.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, wiring drawings and bills of material.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 10 hours.
- Ability to operate basic tools.
- High School Education or equivalent experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to solder a plus but not required.

- The pay range for this position is 22.50 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
