Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage with a diverse range of topics and technologies across our end-to-end development process, including coding, security, testing, operations, documentation, compliance, monitoring, finance, and alerting. Additionally, fostering the right mindset and culture will be crucial in enabling the teams.
- You develop new internal products, frameworks, and tools, while supporting development teams in implementing new microservices, ensuring seamless integration of state-of-the-art third-party tools with respect to security, compliance, and quality management to achieve continuous deployment.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment and integration of DevSecOps practices across the development lifecycle.
- You will build frameworks and infrastructure that help teams monitor their productivity, manage their cloud, and control related costs effectively.
- You guide teams in resolving issues related to our DevSecOps process and toolchain, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- You will share your knowledge and experience with other team members through pair programming, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- You will continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, bringing innovation to the team.
- You will support the organization in transitioning to the One Tech Company toolchain, ensuring a seamless integration across teams.
You excel in
- Education
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience & Skills
- Cloud-Native Expertise: Longterm experience with cloud-native software development tools and platforms, including AWS (preferred), Azure, and Google Cloud. Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in using tools like Terraform to provision, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure. Experience in building, deploying, and managing scalable applications in the cloud environment is highly valued.
- Development Experience: Longterm experience in developing microservices (both serverless and non-serverless), and working with Git. A willingness to learn full-stack development is essential.
- Ops and Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience in DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure management, with a deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Security Understanding: Solid knowledge of security concepts, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management, ensuring the security and integrity of applications.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, applying a data-driven approach to decision-making and process optimization.
- Ways of working
- Communication: Good communication and presentation skills, ensuring clear communication of complex ideas to stakeholders.
- Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies, with a preference for Kanban. Experience working in Agile teams is a plus.
- Team Player: You are willing to work closely with colleagues in pairs on all tasks, sharing your experience and learning from others.
- Languages
- Proficiency in English is required, while German language skills are a nice-to-have
