Siemens Grid Software is in a high-growth phase and we are looking for a driven and dynamic Business Development Manager to help lead the transformation of power grids across Australia and New Zealand.

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow business opportunities for Grid Simulation software (including PSS®E, PSS®SINCAL, Gridscale X, and related tools) with private and government customers

• Identify and respond to market trends such as Microgrids, Remote Monitoring, and Renewable Integration

• Prepare compelling solution proposals, including cost calculations, delivery strategies, and business case development

• Engage with internal and external customers to promote the Siemens Grid Software portfolio

• Support technical discussions and GPS study reviews with AEMO, TNSPs, and DNSPs in line with National Electricity Rules (NER)

• Provide high-quality reports and recommendations based on simulations and studies using PSS software

• Respond to technical queries and provide customer support via the PSS Customer Care platform

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Business Units, Business Segments, and Global Headquarters

• Lead the sales process from opportunity development to contract negotiation and order closure

Key Requirements:

• Practical experience using PSS®E, PSS®SINCAL, or similar simulation tools

• Solid understanding of transmission, distribution, and generation systems, including planning and design standards

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders on technical topics

• Ability to understand and clarify customer requirements, and translate them into Siemens solutions

• Experience developing and presenting financial and operational business cases (ROI, CAPEX vs. OPEX, etc.)

• Familiarity with local market regulations and utility planning frameworks in Australia and New Zealand.
