Then come in and join Malaysia team as Senior Procurement Executive, to manage indirect material procurement categories with a specific focus on travel management, logistics, IT peripherals sourcing and governance of local procurement policies and procedures. The successful candidate will support both strategic and operational procurement activities, working closely with internal stakeholders and global functions to ensure alignment and compliance with Siemens Healthineers Procurement directives.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You are responsible to work closely with internal business stakeholders through regular alignment meetings to understand strategic objectives and procurement deliverables related to indirect material scopes.
- You will support the localization of global commodity strategies (e.g. Travel, Logistics, IT peripherals, etc.) to drive cost efficiency, ensure process compliance and optimize supplier performance.
- You will ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes across all procurement activities. Serve as the point of contact to guide business users in the correct execution of these processes.
- You will be responsible to develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms in pricing, service quality, lead times and compliance, balancing both cost savings and business needs.
- You will prepare quotation evaluation sheet and executive summaries to support stakeholder decision making. Ensure transparency and traceability in vendor selection.
- You will be responsible to drive and report cost savings, process improvements and value add initiatives using Siemens Healthineers productivity tools (OPW) on a monthly basis.
- You will execute supplier qualification, selection, evaluation, classification and development activities in line with Siemens Healthineers supplier management policy.
- You will partner closely with internal requisitioners and end users to ensure procurement requirements are clearly captured and addressed early in the procurement process.
- You will maintain strong coordination with internally outsourced shared service functions to ensure timely execution and service continuity.

Your qualifications and experience:
- Experienced buyer with minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in hands on procurement & contract negotiations (added advantage if in the Healthcare sector or experience in the hospital industry.). Candidates with SCM, business administrative and/or IT backgrounds will be valued.
- Tertiary education and certification in the area of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Your attributes and skills:
- Strong analytical skills to analyze spend data, conduct market research and translate the requirements from the key stakeholders into the strategy for negotiations in order to deliver a fair option for the business.
- Advanced negotiation skills: Prepare comprehensive strategy setting to drive positive outcomes. Strong experience/expertise valued in candidates who have experience in cost management/cost value engineering.
- Constructive problem solver: Resolve conflicts by finding a win win solution where possible.
- Purchase to Pay process: Solid understanding of correct buying, supplier management and documentations.
- Time management: Diligent in prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met, drive follow ups and escalate where necessary to ensure no compromises in project deliverables.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and productivity reporting reports (standard procurement KPI expectations).
