Job Summary:
We're looking for a proactive and skilled Software Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to play a crucial role in our electronics manufacturing facilities. In this position, you'll be instrumental in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of our existing Operational Technology (OT) Legacy Applications.
The ideal candidate will be adept at bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring our manufacturing operations are efficient and compliant. You'll specialize in using C#, .NET, VB, and MSSQL & MS Access Databases to design, build, and maintain these critical OT software applications. Your work will involve developing applications within the .NET Framework, programming with C# and VB, and managing data storage and retrieval through MSSQL and MS Access Databases.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing software applications: Using C#, VB, and the .NET Framework to create software solutions.
Designing and implementing databases: Designing MSSQL & MS Access Databases and writing queries to interact with them.
Testing and debugging code: Ensuring the quality and functionality of the software.
Maintaining and enhancing existing software: Updating and improving existing applications.
Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders: Working in teams to achieve project goals.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong programming skills in C# and VB: Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Familiarity with the .NET Framework: Understanding the core components and functionalities of the framework.
Experience with database management: Knowledge of MS SQL and database design principles for MSSQL and MS Access Databases.
Web development skills: Experience with ASP.NET and other web development technologies is often beneficial.
Object-oriented programming concepts: Understanding principles of object-oriented programming, such as encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial), Computer Applications, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience working with Application Development
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in the electronics industry (e.g., SMT, PCB assembly, box-build, test & repair).
Experience with electronics industry process functionalities such as WIP tracking, Genealogy, Quality management, Material management, and Electronic Work Instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
