Siemens eMobility® solutions is shaping the market with innovative Electric Vehicle (EV) charging technologies. We are dedicated to driving an open and accessible market for electric vehicles, as well as planning and implementing secure grid connections to enable further growth of EV adoption.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician. This position will be based in Atlanta GA.

The Electrical Engineering Technician will apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions

You’ll make a difference by:

Equipment Maintenance & Repair:

  • Modify, maintain, and repair mechanical/electronic equipment and systems
  • Diagnose malfunctions and replace defective components
  • Use hand tools, precision instruments, and specialized test equipment
  • Perform quality control and assurance procedures
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities

Technical Assembly & Testing:

  • Assemble electrical systems, prototypes, and circuitry
  • Test electronic components and assemblies
  • Integrate software/hardware components
  • Set up and operate test equipment
  • Follow engineering instructions and technical manuals

Documentation & Design:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Produce electronic drawings using CAD software
  • Review and update electrical engineering plans
  • Maintain system logs and engineering documentation
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards

Inventory & Resource Management:

  • Procure parts and maintain inventory
  • Research equipment needs and component sources
  • Calculate costs and prepare project budgets
  • Track material resources and maintain related documentation
  • Evaluate competitive prices and delivery times

Professional Development & Support:

  • Participate in training and continuing education
  • Know the latest engineering and industry advances
  • Provide user applications and engineering support
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, supply chain, and engineers
  • Make recommendations for equipment installations and upgrades

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree from a Technical School and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the following:
    • Working as an electrical technician within a lab environment
    • Knowledge of electrical codes and standard processes
    • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Physically able to meet requirements of the job including, working in confined spaces, lifting heavy equipment, and working at elevated heights
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system design software such as, SolidWorks, CodeSys
  • Degree in electrical engineering, electronics or related field
  • Certification in Forklift and/or Scissor Lift Certification

  • The pay range for this position is $49,910 - $85,560. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
