The Utility Solution Sales is dedicated to expanding and advancing Siemens’ presence in the Utility, and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) markets. Position Overview
The Director of Sales will lead the national sales strategy for Siemens’ Utility Solution Sales, overseeing a high-performing team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs). TSMs have regional oversight while KAMs own direct relationships with strategic Investor-Owned Utility accounts. The sales team also manages Siemens’ go-to-market partnerships, including internal and external sales channels, and third-party sales agents.
The Director will be responsible for achieving the Utility Solution Sales annual order intake, revenue, and profit objectives, while driving commercial subject area, market expansion, and high-impact customer engagement across all targeted segments.
You will make an impact by:
- Leading and developing a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) with regional oversight.
- Managing Key Account Managers (KAMs) with direct responsibility for strategic IOU accounts.
- Fostering a culture of performance, coaching, and cross-regional collaboration.
- Overseeing a hybrid sales structure including direct KAMs/TSMs, SLA-based managers, and third-party reps.
- Driving alignment across all channels to deliver on growth targets.
- Managing SLA governance and performance of sales partners.
- Expanding Siemens’ footprint across IOUs, Public Power, EPCs, IPPs, and Renewable Developers.
- Supporting strategic pursuits and executive-level customer engagement.
- Collaborating with Business Development on market segmentation and messaging.
- Understanding and leading execution of our Utility rEAch™ process.
- Using internal Utility IQ™ analytics for TAM assessment and account targeting.
- Supervising monthly MBRs and pipeline/account plan reviews.
- Delivering on order intake, revenue, and profit goals.
- Tracking critical metrics for funnel health, forecast accuracy, and activity levels.
- Ensuring CRM data quality and compliance.
- Coordinating with Sales Operations on SOPs and reporting tools.
- Partnering with Marketing and Product Management to align go-to-market efforts.
- Participating in strategic and annual planning cycles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience in utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Deep knowledge of the utility ecosystem, especially IOUs, EPCs, and public power
- 2+ years managing direct and indirect sales resources
- Experience with quota-driven environments and KPI-based management
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Utility IQ™, account planning platforms, or market intelligence tools
- Understanding of SLA-based commercial models
- Executive-level communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in large deal or multi-year framework agreement sales cycles

- The pay range for this position is $142,310-$243,960 plus annual incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
