Position Title: Plant Controller
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Direct the accounting and financial functions to ensure achievement of goals and objectives as well as compliance with company policies and processes. Provide analysis specific to product costing, internal vs external mix profitability, collaboration with S&OP to develop scenario forecasting with impacts to fixed cost degression, productivity, labor analytics and profitability. Integrate complex data lakes and sources to provide transparency into sales and margins at a highly granular product level. Conduct the analysis and evaluations on financial, accounting, cost and trend reports in order to improve the results of the organization. Direct the development and achievement of short and long term/strategic financial goals and objectives for the business including product mix and localization. Direct the organization regarding financial and accounting functions as well as other business segments and recommends improvements in methods, procedures, and content of accounting output to increase profitability. Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness. Create and define new systems, programs or products with significant business impact. Develop departmental budgets and business plans. Create and conceptualize policies/programs for area of responsibility or products and to forecast their impact. Analyze effectiveness of policies/products and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs or products that affect company as a whole. Align policies/products and development efforts with company strategies. Identify resource needs with complete authority to approve identified needs. Act as an advisor that troubleshoots and resolves extremely complex problems within multidepartments and/or cross-functional areas. Approve organizational structures and supervisory relationships. Develop team and employees in the operations finance organization. Responsible for overall success of function or project within multi-departments and/or crossfunctional areas. Guide ongoing comparison of objectives and their achievement, drives consistent steering actions to maximize performance, especially profitability. Ensure risk and opportunity management, identifies risks and opportunities, defines and implements appropriate measures to optimize business results. Ensure adherence of all internal and external financial and reporting rules, "Finance & Controlling" policies, "Finance & Controlling" procedures, quality standards and international audit requirements within the Siemens Framework. Support the procurement and logistics strategy implementation and governance of related operational processes. Collaborate with Materials teams to develop strategies for Safety Stock and Re-order points of inventory that are responsive to dynamic market demands. Establish close collaboration with Warehouse teams to enhance internal receiving and shipping processes, aiming to increase product output. Utilize advanced understanding of complex supply chain dynamics to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Utilize data-driven approaches and analytical tools to assess performance metrics and KPIs for Quality, EHS, HR. Approximately 15% domestic travel required.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Manufacturing Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Controller, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: experience with SAP (FI/CO) as well as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: experience demonstrating and applying advanced knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures for area managed including strong analytical skills. Position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: knowledge of Tableau, Knime/Alteryx, UIPath, Snowflake. Position requires experience with the following: experience demonstrating advance understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation and performance management; ability to understand and manage the dynamics of a complex organization.
