What will you do?
As a technical support specialist, you will perform and learn on products and solutions for protection and automation of power system. Products of this fields are hardware and related software such as:
- Protection relays from Siemens SIPROTEC5
- Protection relays from Siemens SIPROTEC4
- Substation Automation RTU/Controller from Siemens SICAM A8
- Substation Automation HMI and controller from SICAM8
- Power Quality devices from SICAM series
- IoT software from Siemens Electrification X
What will you need to succeed?
- New graduate from a college or university program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with connection to Power System Protection & Control preferred
- Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
- Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
- Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work and/or community (extra curricular activities)
- Bilingualism (French, English) is an asset.
- Interest in pursuing career in Energy Automation Portfolio; particularly Protection and Control and IoT connectivity for Digital Transformation
- Thrives in customer engagement and proactively pursues new clients
- Growth mindset, with a passion for learning
- Agile, technically savvy, with a knack at creating solutions
Participate in day to day activities and topics as mentioned below:
Product Homologation- Analyze customer technical specification and choose suitable product from Siemens portfolio.
- Determine technical deviation and action items to resolve it by coordinating with R&D or making suitable application.
- Submit technical response to customer against specification.
- Test Siemens devices at customer and Siemens location as part of approval process
- Analyzes customers' technical setup to better judge on aspects of product and solution integration from Energy Automation offerings
- Completes technical analysis and supports proposal process at any stage as part of the sales team.
- Support Product comparison, bench marking for best technology and price for the tender.
- Follow siemens bidding and sales process to align with siemens compliance and policies
- Lab and inventory management support to the team.
- Ticket management for technical queries and complaints from customers.
- Warranty related coordination with Siemens factory for repair and replacement.
- Analyze and test on returned devices from customers.
- Data management on sales and technical support
- Data entries to CRM tools.
- Use knowledge base to provide innovative Protection, Control, Monitoring and Automation solutions to customers.
- Gain competency in end-to-end solutions from the Energy Automation perspective - Protection Relays, Automation RTUs, Power Quality, PMS/EMCS, HMI Systems
- Perform the review of task plans, drawings and installation schematics and provides guidance in the phase of product test integration.
