Position Title: Project Manager
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Be responsible for the successful execution of projects, from project initiation through final closeout. Work in a matrix style organization requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s). Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status. Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Align customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projects. Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions. Approximately 20% domestic and international travel required. Hybrid work permitted.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related Engineering field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: managing complex projects in the utility/energy sector (Power Protection/Controls, Transmission, Generation and Distribution). Position requires experience with the following: managing multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, construction, and procurement; experience presenting complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external customers; experience interpreting and reporting results to senior management as well as customers; experience developing project execution plans and aligning execution plan with all stakeholders; Project Management Professional Certification.
