Purpose
OEM Sales Manager is responsible for leading a group of sales reps to handle OEM´s. This role ensures the adaption of overarching sales strategies driving sales growth, market penetration, and customer engagement. The OEM Sales Manager oversees the execution of go-to-market initiatives and ensures that sales performance meets or exceeds revenue and order intake targets within their channel.
Main responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Leads Sales Manager teams ensuring alignment with regional and global sales strategies
  • Provides direction, coaching, and performance management to OEM Sales Reps.
  • Oversees and manages recruitment, sales workforce and succession planning, ensuring the sales channel has an efficient team structure and the right skills, sales capabilities, expertise, and leadership pipeline aligned with business needs.
  • Oversees and drive team activity to support the adoption and implementation of established best practice processes and procedures for creating winning Sales teams
  • Establish a high-performance culture, fostering innovation and technical expertise within the team
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develops and implements a multi-year sales strategy tailored to the specific sales channel
  • Defines business plans for the OEM, ensuring that sales teams are effectively positioned for success.
  • Aligns channel-specific teams and business functions with strategy and G2M approach
  • Monitors and adjusts sales strategy based on market trends, customer insights, and competitive positioning
  • Regularly review key strategic accounts and pursuits to ensure full attention and resources are provided to enable the effective close of the sale
  • Ensures the adoption of digital tools, CRM systems, and sales automation technologies within the channel
  • Guide his/her team to drive constructive tension by strategically influencing customer behavior to encourage decisive action.
Business Responsibility
  • Oversees budgeting, investment priorities, and resource allocation for the sales channel
  • Ensures that financial goals and revenue and order intake growth targets are met within the channel
  • Implements risk management strategies to mitigate commercial risks and optimize profitability.
  • Regularly reviews pipeline performance and adjusts resource distribution for maximum impact
  • Own the business responsibility, ensuring the achievement of revenue
  • Consultative Sales Focus: The candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand different customer needs/priorities and collaborate closely with various sales teams to co-create customized solutions that effectively address each customers unique challenges.
Customer & Market Engagement
  • Drives customer engagement strategies within the channel, ensuring strong relationships with key accounts
  • Ensures Siemens’ value proposition is effectively communicated to customers within the sales channel
  • Leads initiatives focused on customer retention and long-term strategic partnerships
  • Represents Siemens at industry events, trade shows, and policy forums relevant to the sales channel
Internal Collaboration & Compliance
  • Ensures strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Implements governance frameworks to track and enforce compliance across all sales activities
  • Develops sales reporting mechanisms and performance tracking to ensure transparency in execution
  • Drives best-practice sharing across regions and business units to optimize channel sales effectiveness

Professional Experience/Certifications/Background
  • University degree in engineering (Mechatronics Engineer /Automation & Control Engineer) or a related field
  • TIA Portal/Drives/Connectivity IT/OT integration. Experience in integration of a discrete solution. Understanding of machine construction and basic mechanics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership roles within industrial automation sector.
  • Proven track record of driving growth, managing technical sales, and working with complex client Organization
  • Experience with technical problem-solving and solution-oriented sales.
