We are looking for Lead Test Engineer
You’ll make a difference by:
• Define test strategies for EV charging systems (AC/DC chargers, embedded controllers, communication modules).
• Plan and execute integration and validation tests (firmware, hardware-in-loop, communication protocols such as OCPP, CAN, Modbus, etc.).
• Manage testing of charger features like payment systems, RFID, load balancing, OTA updates and etc
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO 15118, OCPP).
• Work with hardware and firmware engineers to diagnose and report system-level issues.
• Lead test or customer- and operator-facing platforms (web portals, mobile apps – Android/iOS).
• Oversee functional, regression, UI/UX, and performance testing of digital applications.
• Validate APIs, user authentication flows, device/app integration (e.g., Bluetooth/Wi-Fi).
• Work with developers to triage and resolve bugs, with clear documentation and tracking.
• Define test plans, test cases, and automation strategies aligned with product roadmap.
• Lead and mentor a team of manual and automation testers across domains.
• Set up and manage test environments, simulators, test benches.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD-integrated test automation (e.g., Appium, Selenium, Jenkins).
• Use Jira and Xray Test Management for test planning, execution tracking, traceability and reporting.
• Collaborate with product and project managers on quality metrics and delivery readiness.
You’ll win us over by:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electronics & Communication field.
• 8+ years of test experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or senior test role.
• Experience in testing embedded systems and mobile/web applications is essential.
• Hands-on knowledge of communication protocols: OCPP, CAN, Modbus, MQTT,
• TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Postman, Wireshark, Git.
• Exposure to automation frameworks: Selenium, Robot Framework, PyTest.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
• Experience in EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) or energy sector.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and backend microservices testing.
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Knowledge of mobile accessibility and performance optimization best practices.
