We are looking for a Project Engineer to support our onshore Power Supply projects. This role will assist the Onshore Project Manager and Project Senior Engineer in all technical aspects of project execution, from design-phase clarifications to on-site installation and Test & Commissioning. As the right hand of the Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth on-site operations and technical coordination. The position is based in Taoyuan, with frequent travel to project sites.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily site activities related to Power Supply and DC switchgear, including warehouse coordination, inspections, installation supervision, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Act as a technical representative in meetings, supporting or attending on behalf of the Senior Project Engineer when required.
  • Attend regular and ad-hoc project meetings to ensure project updates, issues, and requirements are clearly communicated within the team.
  • Monitor documentation and material delivery to ensure proper control and timely execution.
  • Support site logistics such as delivery handling, dismounting, unpacking, packing, transportation checks, and storage.
  • Supervise subcontractors and/or clients during installation, dismounting, and testing activities, providing guidance and corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in onshore test verification during day or night shifts.
  • Investigate and coordinate resolution of technical issues encountered on site.
  • Conduct reliability tests, participate in preliminary failure analysis, and coordinate with end users to collect necessary information.
  • Support spare parts and warranty-related activities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both Mandarin and English during meetings and site work.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway or metro power supply projects, preferably with a focus on DC power supply.
  • Proven experience in railway/metro project execution and fieldwork.
  • Strong understanding of power supply systems, site supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
  • Excellent technical competency and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in English (reading, listening, speaking) and fluent in Mandarin.
  • Possession of a valid Safety & Health certificate.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts as required.
