Position Overview:

As a Quality Management Technician, you will be responsible for coordinating the development of quality criteria and tools to ensure that Railcar vehicles adhere to all specified process and product requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Develop and deploy the entire quality plan, including procedures, quality gate requirements, and implementation of discrete quality records.
  • Oversee and support quality assurance activities, ensuring accurate integration of process and product quality information into operations.
  • Integrate quality processes with enterprise resource planning.
  • Develop quality inspection automation using digital twin, process automation, and smart mobile apps.
  • Perform qualified, routine, and non-routine quality tasks.
  • Support and perform ISO Quality Audits to ensure adherence to processes and procedures at the production location.
  • Support QM activities on strategic and tactical items, as well as additional quality planning activities assigned by QMiP.
  • Coordinate streamlined reporting of quality inspection activities.
  • Act according to guidelines and initiate appropriate measures in case of deviations from agreed quality standards.
  • Actively promote continuous improvement.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing organization with a focus on quality and document control.
  • Experience working in a large project, manufacturing-based organization.
  • Detailed knowledge and suitable qualifications in quality processes, standards, and improvement techniques.
  • Strong experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive quality inspection experience using visual and mechanical inspection techniques, including blueprint reading, interpretation of requirements, and structured reporting.
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365, SAP, and Mendix applications.

We would be impressed if you had:

  • Rail Manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Qualified QMS Auditor (ISO9001; 2015).
  • ASQ certified Technician desired.

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
