Apply now for the position of Sales Support Manager for our business Laboratory Solutions, and you will be responsible to coordinate activities that directly support field sales functions. In this role you will coordinate a team of field product sales expert and sales support experts interacting with central departments to optimally provide field product support, prepare technical projects and economic quotations in response to tender procedures or negotiations initiated by customers. The Sales Support Manager also coordinates the team's activities, including those related to specific processes like escalations and internal approvals.
Your role:
- You will support the Country Business Lead and Territory Managers in executing the commercial strategy to achieve sales and profit targets.
- You will coordinate and prioritizes the activities of your team to ensure adequate support for the operational needs of the Sales and Product Support Management organization, with reference to:
- Operational accompaniment/support for the sales force based on priorities and development plans for individual territories.
- Development and presentation of technical projects, based on customer’s needs and specifications.
- Development of detailed technical/analytical configurations and the related quoting process to evaluate the overall sustainability of the deal.
- Development of economic offers (strategic pricing, profit, and consistency/appropriateness).
- Support for escalation and approval procedures
- Support for the management of activating or active contracts (e.g., internal movements).
- Support litigation-related activities (with reference to the technical and economic components)
Your expertise:
- Master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Life Science is required.
- Strong business result achievement attitude – strong contribution to sales and profit targets.
- Excellent interpersonal relationships within a complex international context with frequent interfunctional exchanges
- 3+ years of experience in a sales support, sales operations, or similar customer-facing role, within an international environment.
- Proficiency with CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Customer purchase cycle knowledge, including negotiation, public tenders’ procedures, litigation etc. (preferable previous experience with quoting and proposal generation software)
- Preferably previous people management experience: ability to lead, mentor and motivate an extended, experienced and skilled team at national level, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Proficiency in English
- Availability to travel at least 30%
- Preferably based in Milan
