- You oversee the hardware development in the R&D department for computed tomography (CT).
- Mechanical design of CT systems
- Power electronics and X-ray emitters
- Embedded software development
- Electrical design of CT systems
- Development of the human-machine interface
- System support and infrastructure support

- You have global responsibility for hardware development with seven teams in Forchheim and three teams in Shanghai.
- You plan and you are responsible for the required budget for hardware development in coordination with the R&D manager.
- As a sub-process owner, you are part of the R&D management team
- You own the complete product lifecycle for all components in the areas mentioned and you closely collaborate with product management and the product lines.
- You guide and oversee technology and innovation initiatives within the hardware domain.
- You identify emerging trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge and support future product development.
- You have successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, medical technology, physics or communications engineering.
- You have many years of professional experience in hardware or system development in a medical environment. Alternatively, you have experience in the project management of medical technology developments.
- You already have several years of experience in leading large R&D teams.
- You are business fluent in English, German language skills are an advantage.
- You have extensive knowledge of system integration, hardware development methods and experience in creating specifications and documentation
- You confidently represent the company in interactions with customers and suppliers, fostering strong and professional relationships.
- You are uncompromising when it comes to quality. Strategic thinking and a passion for continuously optimizing processes are key drivers in your leadership approach.
- You combine a strong customer orientation with a high level of autonomy, analytical thinking, and the ability to make and implement sound decisions assertively.
