Our Siemens business unit Motion Control (DI MC) is one of the world's leading providers of products, systems, solutions, and services in the field of Motion Control. This includes around 20,000 employees and the four business segments. With its global production sites, R&D, and service locations, MC is close to its customers and at home in a wide range of industries.

At our factory network, comprised of two production sites Buzias, Romania and Bad Neustadt, Germany, Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. To further drive our successful growth, we will expand the Buzias location in a targeted manner over the next few years. The topics of digitalization and simulations support us in planning for the future and in implementation.

Based in Buzias, for our factory network we are looking for a Export/Import Specialist that helps us to manage and optimize our import/export customs, shipping and packaging processes for our Buzias (Romania) production site and that also closely collaborates with our Bad Neustadt (Germany) production site.

What part will you play?

· Supervision of the operative shipping processing in all steps

o Sales Order Processing: Shipping Settings

o Creating shipping instructions and supporting the specialist departments in shipping issues

o Control of shipping processes:

§ Timely processing of shipping orders

§ Service Provider Billing

§ Freight cost statements

· Procurement support in processing incoming shipments

· Contact person for customers and internal specialist departments for questions and problems related to shipping processes.

· You are responsible to use the correct incoterms

· Create A.TR and COO (certificate of origin)

· Settlement of damage in transit: assessment of the facts as well as support for those affected in the procurement of replacements, including recourse letters up to settlement with insurance companies.

· Manage external logistics service providers to ensure high performance and on-time shipping and clarify logistics complaints with service providers and customers.

· You ensure relevant training of operational staff who work in the shopfloor distribution area.

· Participation/partial lead of projects to optimize processes in/around painting and packing the finished goods as well as in overall continuous process optimization projects of the import/export and distribution processes.

· Representation of the shipping/customs department & active contribution as subject matter expert in shopfloor value stream and footprint projects

· KPI Monitoring: You regularly establish & analyze logistical KPIs in your area and take action where there is need for improvement.

What you need to make real what matters.

· Bachelor or Master`s degree preferably in business administration, industrial engineering or logistics.

· Minimum of 3-5 additional years of experience in domestic freight, customer service, transportation logistics

· Experience in dealing with freight forwarders and logistics service providers. On-top experience in other logistic areas such as order management and operative purchasing is beneficial.

· You possess the relevant certificates and trainings/educations in aviation security and customs and COO as well as in packaging requirements definition & process optimization as well as handling of damage claims and dangerous goods handling. Also, you have several years of experience in all above mentioned these areas.

· You possess a holistic understanding of the End-to-End (E2E) Supply chain and its interdepencies

· You have proven experience in projects, and in process improvement, especially in the methodology of LEAN manufacturing processes / Value stream optimization. Also, you ideally have first experience in digitization and automation projects.

· Very good proficiency of English (spoken & written) is an absolute must to this role since you work in an international environment. Proficiency of German is a big benefit.

· Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP R/3 (SD&MM module) and ideally also first experience in introducing AI-driven or RPA-optimized planning tools.
