Transform the everyday with us

We are looking for a Digitalization and Automation Engineer located in Pomona, CA.

We are seeking a Digital Engineer to assist us with defining, developing, and deploying our factory digital technologies that will align with and support our automation and digitalization strategy and initiatives. You will play a crucial role by providing the onsite technical skills required to support the organization’s digital goals and objectives. You will work closely with collaborators (digital teams, automation teams, business leaders, etc.) to support and guarantee the successful completion of all digital and automation projects. You will work closely with the on site digital lead and the remote digital and automation teams.

You will make an impact by:

  • Align with other Siemens teams and external partners to successfully implement our strategy.
  • Understand business requirements and convert to required design documents
  • Research, experiment, and introduce new technologies to keep our factories productive and driven.
  • Work with other digital teams, automation teams, and partners to ensure successful project execution for all digital and automation initiatives.
  • Working closely with the site’s leadership team to understand the greatest challenges and develop and communicate requirements for future automation and/or digitalization projects.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or similar)
  • Experience integrating HMI, CNC, and PLC devices into production environment.
  • At least one software development language (e.g. Python, C#, C++)
  • Experience using KNIME and Tableau or similar technology
  • Experience using Node Red or similar technology.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Siemens WinCC software
  • Experience using Siemens OpCenter Intelligence and Mindsphere
  • Solid understanding of SQL database platforms (e.g. Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Lean Certification
  • Experience collaborating with organizations dedicated to defining, crafting, and deploying the end-to-end digital thread.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to convert requirements into solutions.

  • The pay range for this position is $90-$115k. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
