Responsibilities of the Role
- Assisting the sales teams with the preparation of commercial bids, providing legal input to ensure that contract terms and conditions align with the company’s objectives. This includes reviewing tender documents, framework agreements, supply and service agreements, and consortium agreements in collaboration with sales teams and commercial counterparts.
- Supporting the management of project-specific limits of authorization and utilizing risk management tools to track and release/approve specific contract risks.
- Attending customer negotiations and assisting in the resolution of legal issues to ensure efficient and compliant handling.
- Participating in the dispute and claims management process, including assisting with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Contributing to the development of processes and policies within the Legal Department to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Assisting in-house legal training sessions and ensuring that business and other corporate departments are aware of legal procedures and best practices.
- Gaining exposure to HR and Legal tech systems, enhancing your knowledge in these areas.
- Performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the Legal Department as assigned by the General Counsel or supervisor.
- Actively learning and acquiring knowledge in legal theory, tools, techniques, and methods relevant to the company’s legal processes
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Completed Law Degree (LLB)
- 1-2 years post Qualification experience (Advantageous)
- Prior working experience from a Leading Law Firm/International Company (Advantageous)
- Projects Experience (Advantageous)

- Good analytical and drafting skills organized and committed to deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with proven experience, and a keen ability to evaluate all contractual/claim implications with a focus on solutions and results
- Robust personality with high levels of energy and drive.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment.
- Adaptable and commercially minded team player with a collegial personality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high level of proficiency in verbal and written English
