About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial OPC UA Modelling & Systems Integration Specialist to join our team and lead the design, development, and integration of advanced OPC UA-based solutions for electrical systems. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions that redefine industry standards and exceed customer expectations.
As an expert in OPC UA information modelling, you will design robust models, integrate server functionality, and ensure seamless communication between OPC UA-enabled systems and electrical devices. Your strong technical background in system architecture, data exchange mechanisms, and security protocols will be essential in delivering innovative solutions that enable efficient monitoring, control, and interoperability across industrial environments.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document implementation processes to drive operational excellence. If you are passionate about industrial automation, system integration, and OPC UA technologies, we invite you to bring your expertise to our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement OPC UA information models for electrical devices, ensuring compliance with OPC UA specifications.
- Integrate OPC UA server functionality into electrical systems and their control and monitoring infrastructure, ensuring compatibility with the selected OPC UA stack or toolkit.
- Map defined object types, variable types, and method types from the OPC UA information model to corresponding components, parameters, and functions within the electrical system architecture.
- Implement data access and communication mechanisms to facilitate information exchange between the OPC UA server and client applications or systems interacting with electrical equipment.
- Configure security settings, authentication mechanisms, and access control policies within the OPC UA server to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electrical system data and functionalities.
- Validate the implementation of the OPC UA information model through rigorous testing and verification procedures, confirming accurate representation of equipment-specific data, behaviors, and operations within the OPC UA framework.
- Document the integration and implementation process, including mapping, configuration, and validation activities, to provide a comprehensive record of the OPC UA information model deployment within the electrical system architecture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in creating and implementing OPC UA information models for electrical devices.
- Strong understanding of OPC UA specifications and the ability to integrate OPC UA server functionality into existing systems.
- Familiarity with object types, variable types, and method types within the OPC UA framework.
- Experience with data access and communication mechanisms relevant to OPC UA.
- Knowledge of security settings, authentication mechanisms, and access control policies in the context of OPC UA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and comprehensive records of technical processes.
