Are you looking for relevant experience in your field? This is an ideal opportunity to gain practical experience as a Jr. Fire Alarm Technician and build a career with Siemens Canada!

What will you do?

• Provide assistance when completing annual and monthly inspections
• Complete and submit written service reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity;
• Ensure that all site files are kept up to date for each contract
• Represent the company at the customer sites professionally at all times
• Test and verify system readings ensuring an optimal system operation
• Make recommendations for improvement or system change
• Work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures
• Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times: Ensure all damaged or faulty equipment is immediately returned to the warehouse with the appropriate documentation; Ensure that all test equipment and tools issued by the Company are maintained in good condition kept secure and tested.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management

What will you need to succeed?

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a university, college or technical school in Fire Protection Engineering Technology/Technician disciplines, Fire and Life Safety Systems Technician, Electrical Electronic technology or a similar and relevant field
• Working toward a CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) certification is an asset
• Good understanding of Building and Fire codes
• Customer focused and good customer relationship building and management skills
• Good communication skills in English both written and verbal
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work and/or community (extra curricular activities)
• Self-motivated and calm under pressure
• Creative thinker with a unique ability for resourcefulness
