Large Project Bid Coordinator (Technical Sales Support Professional) - West Region
Position Overview
To coordinate and manage quotation requests for low and medium voltage switchgear for the Strategic National Accounts Sales team by triaging and delegating requests as well as providing a technically accurate and comprehensive quotation in response to the opportunities presented by the team.
Large Project Bid Coordinator (Technical Sales Support Professional) - West Region
This position will be in the Western Region of the US excluding New Mexico.
Role Description
- Lead bid requests and strategy for RFQs over $5M for National Strategic Accounts and coordinate with regional Bid Coordinators and SFT on downstream products
- Lead team bid meetings – determine bid strategies for key projects, facilitate meetings and work with national and local team to update opportunities in Sales Force
- Monitor and track relevant bid opportunities with follow up
- Must review plans and drawings to accurately determine equipment required for projects
- Review and understand specifications for each project to ensure accurate equipment bids
- Create opportunities within Sales Force for bids and manage assigned teams bid list including internal and external communication.
- Understand local electrical codes and requirements in covered territories and apply to equipment selection for accurate bids
- Coordinate and review addendums and complete bids on time
- Review RFP - address non-standard terms, solicit buyout content through MAP, coordinate specialized material through appropriate bid team portals
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering desired, although candidates with varying degrees will also be considered based on experience. A combination of education and directly related work experience will also be considered in lieu of a BS degree.
- 5 to 7 years with a proven track record in a Sales Support role with high value customers in the electrical industry or 10+ years with a proven track record in a Sales Support role with high value customers in the electrical industry
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of proposal creation/bid coordinator or estimating experience preferred.
- 5+ years knowledge of low/medium voltage products preferred.

The pay range for this position is $73,600.00 - $153,720.00 and is eligible for 15% Annual Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
