We want to get onboard a Team Leader – Component Integration in our Rolling Stock department in Madrid.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
Your new job will take you into Team Leader for the Component Integration of our state-of-the-art high speed, commuter and regional rail vehicles.
You will coordinate and support a team of system and design engineers. The areas of expertise of the group include acoustics, aerodynamics, industrial design, interior design, painting and corrosion, pneumatics and hydraulics, drive unit and bogie integration, and interior system design (exterior and interior doors, HVAC, lightning, seats, sanitary and galleys…)
You will analyze and plan resources and tasks, ensuring economic efficiency and continuously monitoring results.
You will be the point of contact internally and externally, such as for global customers and stakeholders. This includes clarifying and coordinating complex interfaces with other areas, units, and customers as needed.
You will organize the design of components and systems in 3D-CAD.
You will coordinate with interface partners, project management, purchasing, and production during project execution.
You will develop and integrate subsystems, considering requirements and issues to optimize technology, costs, and deadlines. Release documentation for manufacturing, define inspections and tests, and support suppliers technically.
You will assist to assembly in production and assess new requirements from customer specifications, standards, and legislation.
What do you bring along?
You have experience as team leader in a similar field.
You hold a master's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, rail vehicle construction, industrial engineering, or a comparable field.
You possess at least 5 years of professional experience in the mechanical design of railway vehicles.
You have extensive expertise in mechanical engineering, specifically in material selection, special processes (welding, bonding, painting and corrosion protection), bolted connections, components selection, selection of manufacturing technologies, cost value engineering, structural design…
You are skilled in integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems into trains.
You have experience in project life cycle management, requirements management, specifications, traceability, and validation.
You are proficient in using Creo, PDMLink, SAP, Teamcenter, Doors or Polarion. Similar knowledge will be valuable.
You have experience leading engineering teams.
You are fluent in English (at least C1-level or equivalent). Additional language skills are an advantage.
You enjoy working with colleagues from different departments and locations.
