The solution director is a senior, experienced software technology and business leader who applies deep pharmaceutical industry and practical knowledge to contribute individually and collaboratively with global teams, engaging with technical and business leaders, from Sales and Services, Product Development, Marketing, and key Customers and Partners.
This role requires industry process knowledge and experience to guide the development and marketing of new integrated solutions that apply and combine selected products from the Siemens Digital Industry portfolio. Our mission is creating the next generation of digital software solutions across the pharmaceutical lifecycle to provide our customers with improved productivity through digitalization.
We are looking for a Director of Pharmaceutical Industry Solutions. This position does not require a specific Siemens office location with preference to candidates located within a two hour travel distance to a US Siemens office.
Responsibilities:
- Building the future of Pharmaceutical industry software and hardware solutions by leading initiatives focused on developing winning solutions. This includes
- Defining and guiding the realization of Pharmaceutical focused solutions that span the full Siemens Digital Industries portfolio with a focus on combining R&D, engineering and manufacturing software platforms and applications across drug discovery, pre-clinical and clinical development and drug product production.
- Supporting development and executing compelling strategic business plans with Industry Leaders
- Collaborating with external partners to extend solution capabilities
- Supporting Pharmaceutical industry go-to-market through industry solution campaigns and field enablement
- Supporting definition of industry specific solution messaging and value propositions
- Collaborating with marketing teams to guide them to create compelling campaign materials
- Engaging and enabling Sales and key Customers
- Plan and deliver industry solution go-to-market enablement for sales organizations
- Engage with sales and services on key customer opportunities for industry expertise
- Support global Pharmaceutical industry strategy through providing guidance to Industry Leadership in defining industry strategy and aligning relevant stakeholders across the company.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience in life sciences data integration and digital strategy implementation related to pharmaceutical manufacturing
- 10+ years of experience managing programs and projects that involve cross-functional stakeholders, including product development and sales/marketing, with demonstrated ability to align diverse technical and business disciplines toward integrated solution delivery.
- 10 years of hands-on experience with one or more software technology categories relevant to Siemens DI portfolio, including:
-Manufacturing Operations Management (MES)
-Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
-Service Lifecycle Management
-Internet of Things (IoT)
-Factory and Process Automation (e.g., SCADA, PCS/DCS)
- Ability and legal authorization to travel internationally as required to perform the responsibilities of the role.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree – Biosciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering
- Comfortable in customer R&D and manufacturing settings, highly adaptive and comfortable in a myriad of environments with the physical restrictions typically found in industrial locations
- Proven track record of delivering internal or commercial Life Science digital solutions that realize the Digital Twin of Pharmaceuticals
- Certification in program and project management with proven ability to synthesize and deliver solutions across diverse disciplines & processes
- Deep application knowledge with several of the following software technology categories corresponding to Siemens DI portfolio in manufacturing and automation: Manufacturing Operations Management (MES), Laboratory Information Management (LIMS), Service Lifecycle Management, IOT, Factory and Process Automation (SCADA, PCS/DCS)

- The pay range for this position is $120,540 - $206,640 and the annual incentive will be 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
