The Project Quality & EHS Professional is responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements in projects. The role involves implementing management systems, conducting audits, identifying risks, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and legal regulations.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Project Quality Planning: Develop and implement Project Quality Plans aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 22163, and customer requirements.
- Process Audits & Inspections: Conduct internal audits (ISO 9001, VDA 6.3) and supplier audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Defect Management: Monitor non-conformances (NCRs) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and 8D Problem-Solving techniques.
- Supplier & Subcontractor Quality Management: Work closely with vendors to improve their processes, product quality, and compliance.
- Customer & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project results meet customer specifications and regulatory compliance (ISO, VDA).
- Document Control & Reporting: Maintain quality documentation, prepare reports, and support management reviews.
EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Responsibilities:
- EHS Compliance: Implement and maintain ISO 14001 (EMS) & ISO 45001 (OHSMS) standards in projects.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification & Risk Assessments (HIRA), and drive mitigation actions.
- Incident Investigation & Reporting: Analyse incidents, conduct RCA, and implement corrective actions.
- Safety Audits & Inspection: Conduct workplace safety audits, site inspections, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Training & Awareness: Provide safety training on PPE, Work-at-Height, Electrical Safety, Ergonomics, and Emergency Preparedness.
- Environmental Protection: Supervise waste management, pollution control, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Developing and implementing Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and conducting mock drills.
You’ll win us over by:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering / science / quality / environmental sciences.
- Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 or ISO 22163, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, with proven knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22163 (IRIS) standards
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification and NEBOSH / IOSH Safety Certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Quality, EHS, and Audits in manufacturing, engineering, or Project environment.
- Proficiency in auditing techniques (Internal & Supplier Audits).
- Experience in process improvement, risk management, and supplier quality development, along with extensive knowledge of EHS laws, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Having excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and I am adept at working in fast-paced project environments while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other Quality & EHS Management tools.
