What will you do?
- Actively promote in the Western Canada market the LV MCC product portfolio and solutions in customer meetings and product presentations
- Supports business development of the LV MCC products and solutions associated to MV / LV power distribution by constantly targeting the increase of the market share.
- Prepare competitively priced customer proposals incorporating Siemens solutions that best fit our customer needs.
- Work closely with Business Development Managers, Legal Counsel, Project Management, Sales, and customers in the industrial, construction and utility markets on technical, legal, contractual, and commercial issues to generate order bookings for Siemens.
- Design of hardware and software application solutions involving Low Voltage Motor control centers.
- Tracking orders to ensure that equipment, cost, and delivery objectives are met by responding to customers in a time efficient manner.
- Keeping records of specification costs and price estimates.
- Recommending alternatives or changes to customer specifications and/or internal processes to better match Company products to customer needs and to improve productivity respectively.
- Leads in technical and participates in commercial, contractual, and legal negotiations to ensure a significant proportion of bids convert to orders.
Specific tasks:
- Perform applications engineering for LV MCC configurations and generating proposals.
- Visiting customers to assess potential, perform sales, technical support for customers.
- Provide marketing advice to ensure overall market effectiveness.
- Maintain an accurate overview of opportunities and active projects in the CRM system.
- Participate in bid review meetings and travel to various sites when needed (Travel required 25%)
- Territory covered: Canadian Western Region (British Columbia, Alberta & Saskatchewan)
What will you need to succeed?
- Background in Electrical Engineering or related, bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is a strong asset
- Ideally 2-3 years of successful experience in Sales directly related to the field of electrical engineering, preferably with a CET or P.Eng certification in Alberta
- 2-3 years’ experience with applications engineering of LV MCCs and LV switchgear design.
- Must be proficient with requirements of CSA (Canadian Standards Association), CEC (Canadian Electrical Code)
- Must know how to read Single Line Diagram / Load Lists and develop offers for clients (EPCs and end users)
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. French communication skills are a strong asset.
- Highly motivating personable team player with a Can-Do attitude
- High standards of performance are expected to align with customer expectations matching our strong Siemens brand.
