The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. We are looking for an IT/OT Cybersecurity Analyst who will assist in both IT and plant-related OT cybersecurity topics in close cooperation with the factory’s stakeholders and the respective cybersecurity organization. This position will be based onsite at Wendell, NC.

You’ll make an impact as you:

  • You will be responsible for compliance with information security policies of "Operation Technology" (OT) assets in three of Siemens AG's factories in North America.
  • Provide transparency on cybersecurity risks to internal customers.
  • Support and advise the internal customers with respect to any topics related to the implementation of cybersecurity and region-specific cyber threats and risks.
  • Responsible for the Asset Classification & Protection (ACP) process for OT assets, assessing and assessing the criticality of the assets and implementing protection concepts
  • You will act as an interface between the technical specialists and the management level by explaining the technical risks to the management and making the business risks transparent.
  • Recommend appropriate measures to address security issues and reduce risk to acceptable levels, always keeping business capability and digitalization initiatives in mind
  • Asist in IT/OT: risk management, incident management, checking the effectiveness of implemented protection concepts and measures, and supporting information security audits
  • Tracking Vulnerability tickets on both IT and OT networks and assisting with remediation when possible.
  • Cybersecurity contract and 3rd party vendor security compliance reviews
  • Asist with migration to cloud, ensuring cloud security

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors or degree in computer science, business informatics, IT security or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in the following:
    • IT /OT sector with a focus on audit and cybersecurity
    • Understanding of industry standards/regulations of security standards, e. g. EO14028, NIST, ISO27001, IEC 62443.
    • Appropriate training in several security areas and certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC) is an advantage
    • Knowledge of automation technology and experience in the field of production machines (preferably plant production)
    • Knowledge of the security assessment of OT systems and the threat and risk-based evaluation of protective measures (e.g. Active Directory, firewalls, proxy, WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Network Security, Remote Access)
    • Solution-oriented thinking, strong analytical skills and excellent teamwork are required
    • Proficient in English with good communication skills, the ability to learn and work in a team, a strong sense of responsibility at work and advanced problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in computer science, business informatics, IT security or related fields
  • Cloud migration or cloud security experience
  • Self-sufficient- ability to identify issues and own through resolution
  • Ability to create, implement and execute best practices

  • The pay range for this position is $82,320 - $141,120. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
