Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Fremont, CA is $133,162 - $232,800 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Execute both pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities including assessment of how company products meet customer needs and prepare product specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions. Provide on-site support when issues arise with client’s use of Analog Mixed Signal products. Work closely with area sales management, account teams and customers to understand business opportunities. Drive business using technical expertise and working directly with customers as a part of sales team at the appropriate management level to establish criteria for successful engagements. Assist technical teams, including the factory, to establish value for business products and differentiate from the competition. Contribute towards the area technical sales plan with management and communicate frequently with peers and management on progress and account status. Provide pre-sale technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Establish and maintain lines of communication with design engineering on issues such as considerations for product reliability. Work with marketing and product managers to define new products and provide insight from the field back to these groups to internal teams to meet customer needs and shape product direction.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in an Application Engineer-related occupation.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field and no experience.

Position also requires experience or coursework in the following:

1. Working with analog or mixed-signal design engineering.

2. Working with Analog Design methodologies and flows including the different types of analysis solutions for analog design including Spice, Fast-Spice, Mixed Signal, Mixed-Mode analyses, and design flows.

3. Mapping simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements.

4. Utilizing IC schematic and layout tools.

5. Working with Analog simulators including Spectre, HSPICE, AFS, and mixed-signal circuit simulation tools.

6. Unix and Linux OS.

7. Working with Scripting.

10% domestic travel required. [Onsite role.]
