Siemens Mobility is the trusted partner for sustainable and seamless public transport solutions for rail and road, from the first to the last mile. Discover what it's like to be part of our team in Taiwan as we look for a skilled and experienced Senior Scheduler with deep expertise in Primavera P6 to lead planning and scheduling efforts for a complex international railway project. In this role, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop, maintain, and optimize schedules that help ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget, while providing critical insights to support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Be an expert in schedule management methods and tools, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Initiate escalation measures when schedule management requirements are not met.
  • Work independently to engage with key stakeholders, both locally and across global Business Units. Strong relationships with the client, consultant, engineering teams, and subcontractors are essential to maintain schedule integrity and accurately reflect the project's status.
  • Analyze, review, and develop schedules—including baseline schedules and supporting narratives—in line with industry best practices. Identify potential issues and recommend mitigation measures in Siemens' best interest, whether acting as contractor or client.
  • Apply cost and resource loading to schedules.
  • Perform delay analyses to identify the root causes of delays and collaborate with the team to implement industry-standard methods, such as Time Impact Analysis (at a basic level), to support time extension requests.
  • Develop and integrate individual schedules (e.g., subcontractor, offshore, onshore) into a unified master schedule, managing the overall critical path. Record and coordinate all relevant internal and external schedule interfaces, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Establish and maintain the schedule management and update structure, including reporting intervals, in accordance with project needs (e.g., structuring, data integration, reporting).
  • Regularly update and monitor schedules for deadline compliance and project progress.
  • Conduct schedule analyses (e.g., scenario planning, critical path analysis, buffer assessments) and propose solutions in cases of delay, in collaboration with the project team and subject matter experts.
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing acceleration and recovery plans, with substantiated narratives highlighting proposed measures and expected improvements.
  • Prepare reports to support project and specialist teams with schedule management tasks. Collaborate with the Project Manager and local project consultant (PCM) to update and submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Ensure regular backups and proper filing of schedules in accordance with project requirements and applicable guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Good command in both English and Mandarin
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, including hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects in industries such as construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure. Railway project experience is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles across scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and resource management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • AACE, PMP or PMI-SP certification is preferred.
