Your key responsibilities

  • You are representing our Business Unit Main Line & Mass Transit as part of and reporting to the Business managers, to customers, suppliers, government, and the media by fostering an intimate and trusting partnership with our stakeholders in Romania and the region
  • You are setting the mission and strategy, defining strategic targets for inferior units assigned, and taking overall responsibility for overall business results, for assigned Business Main Line & Mass Transit to contribute to business results of the BU Main Line & Mass Transit effectively.
  • Special focus on national tendering under specific regulations in the country
  • You are directing and controlling the activities to achieve its short and long-term financial and operating objectives (e.g., profitability, productivity, market share,) as set by the overall corporate business plans and your BS planning
  • You are anticipating market developments and paradigm shifts and are responsible for market penetration and demand generation.
  • You are setting the highest priority on EHS and compliance within your business unit, you are furthermore, legally responsible for these topics.
  • You are taking care for growing the revenue & margin as well as for cost optimization by shaping a lean organization to improve competitiveness within the Main Line & Mass Transit Business.
  • You are coaching, guiding, and developing a team of experienced project managers and regional managers, who in cooperation with their team members, manage to ensure that the Main Line & Mass Transit business in Romania achieves its business objectives and complies with all relevant national regulations and laws by establishing a culture of compliance
  • Includes regular technical and commercial project reviews with the project team
  • You are managing customer relations to provide customer feedback as well as market- and competitor information to the country SMO Management Team as well as to the Business Segment Management of Main Line & Mass Transit.

Your previous experience & qualification

  • Prove 5 years of (project) management experience and 5 years proven of Sales experience in the relevant market segments
  • University or comparable degree on Electrical Engineering, Energy or Automation technology
  • Strong leadership experience with people and stakeholder management accountability
  • You are experienced in transforming customer requirements into beneficial and strategic business models
  • Experienced in multinational company environment
  • You have experience and technical know-how on signaling technology including ETCS/ERTNS system
  • Strong experience in implementation of signaling systems and ETCS/ERTMS Systems on the Romania railway
  • You have knowledge about the application of Directives (EU) of the European Parliament for interoperability of the rail system within the European Union and the technical specifications for interoperability relating to the ‘control-command and signaling subsystems of the rail system in the European Union
  • Experience in collaboration with Notify Body NoBo for getting the EC Certificate of Verification for subsystem "trackside control-command and signaling"
  • You have experience in collaboration with Safety Authority for getting the Authorization for putting into operation- the control-command and signaling subsystems
  • Deep knowledge about the Mobility business including a comprehensive understanding of market requirements and its implications on our business
  • Clear understanding of successfully aligning the business models in your country to the wider SMO strategy
  • Experience with the entire value chain from planning and development to distribution and after-sales service for project business
  • Knowledge of Siemens internal regulation and processes
  • Used to work closely with senior executives effectively and communicating with them on a range of commercial, strategic, and operational business issues in an international business environment
  • You have a high level of intercultural sensitivity and the ability to deal confidentially and professionally with senior managers in your country and across
  • You have excellent English skills; German language is considered an advantage.
