Siemens Real Estate Services (SRE) is Siemens's real estate service provider and is responsible for the global real estate business. We manage the portfolio, operate the real estate, including all real estate-related services, are responsible for its exploitation, and carry out all Siemens-wide construction projects. We are currently in an exciting phase of transformation, undertaking many large-scale projects, and we would love for you to join us on this journey!
To strengthen and support our ongoing journey, we seek a experienced manager to join our team based in the Dutch Siemens headquarters in The Hague.

You will be responsible for managing real estate assets, including external lease business in the Netherlands, focusing on Siemens space and service requirements within the existing portfolio, including full budget and personnel responsibility. The portfolio includes seven locations in cities such as The Hague, Zoetermeer, Breda, and Eindhoven (approx. 60.000 sqm of office space). You will develop a strategic vision for local SRE and as well operate as a hands-on dealmaker. With the various organizations within the Siemens Group, you have to consider stakeholders with different wishes and requirements.

In this role, you will work in close cooperation with the Zone RAM head for the Netherlands and Nordics. Your team consists of three members, with one member reporting directly to the commercial Head of SRE Netherlands and Nordics. In addition, you function as the in-country manager of four colleagues who are part of international teams within the SRE community.
The challenge we offer?
There are exciting tasks to look forward to:
  • Managing the local real estate portfolio —overseeing strategic planning, operations, and adherence to SRE standards, processes, and budgets—while executing management-driven real estate strategies.
  • Securing excellent Customer Relationship Management and Stakeholder Management (predominantly internal) and being a contact partner for real estate-related topics within your area of locations.
  • Responsible for managing projects within the portfolio, overseeing the execution of Siemens Real Estate (SRE) M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) initiatives in alignment with Siemens' M&A strategy.
  • Driving continuous improvement of real estate costs for internal customers.
  • Sourcing of Real Estate related services as well as steering and controlling Suppliers
  • Contribution to the HQ business lines, e. g. Project management (PM), Maintenance & Technology (MT), Transaction Management (TM), and Portfolio Management & Markets (PMM)
  • Ensuring legal ownership representation to local authorities and adherence to local statutory regulations and laws.
  • Supporting the HUB in regional initiatives in close cooperation with the Regional Business Management.
  • Supporting Siemens' global carbon reduction goals by implementing green leases and energy efficiency measures within the SRE portfolio.
You bring the following skills and competencies
You are passionate about working with people from various functions and cultures in a local and international setting. You have a change- and result-oriented mindset, strong negotiation skills, and you are driven and motivated to collaborate with customers seeking the best possible business solutions!
  • A degree in Accounting/Finance & Control/Business Administration, combined with a specialization in Real Estate, such as a MSRE.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in responsible roles within corporate real estate management or the real estate sector.
  • A solid understanding of facility management, procurement of real estate services, and legal aspects.
  • A strong understanding and good overview of the Dutch real estate law and local market developments. You ensure the portfolio is in line with the market.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and familiarity with essential tools (e.g., Planon, Big Data) are highly recommended.
  • Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record in building a high-performance culture showcasing the ability to hire and develop your team to excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Dutch are a requirement, enabling top-class stakeholder management.
  • Open to regular national and sporadic international travel.
What we offer
  • Mobile working opportunities and flexible working hours.
  • A diverse and inclusive culture and a great variety of learning & development opportunities.
  • An attractive compensation package (consisting of a fixed and a variable income) including company car and shareholder program.
  • You will also be entitled to a flexible employment conditions budget: our Benefits Budget. You can use the budget for more days of leave, an extra (monthly) payment, or tax-favorable expenses, such as our bicycle or sustainability plan.
