Our Procurement plays a key role in managing procurement operations, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and compliant sourcing strategies.

We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong background in procurement and a passion for driving efficiency and innovation.


Main tasks of the role

  • Oversee and coordinate all project-related procurement activities in the ASEAN region, ensuring seamless integration of procurement, logistics, and supplier quality management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional project teams and the global procurement organization for all project-related procurement matters.
  • Align project timelines with procurement schedules and develop comprehensive project procurement plans.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs based on customer and project requirements, ensuring competitive sourcing.
  • Lead regional supplier negotiations, aligning contract terms and conditions to meet project and business objectives incoordination with global commodity managers in headquarter to implement global commodity strategies to achieve long term cost savings and drive business success.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and mitigate procurement risks through cross-functional assessments and proactive risk management.
  • Develop and drive local sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens’ procurement policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Promote and support sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, driving responsible and ethical sourcing practices.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Multi-year experience in strategic purchasing, category management, or project management.
  • Experience working in a project-driven environment, preferably in the baggage handling or engineering industry.
  • International exposure and the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency in system and data management (Excel, SAP, and data analysis).
  • Interest in digitalization and automation to enhance procurement processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility.
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages such as German, Thai, or Malay are a plus.
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude with a strong focus on results.
  • Eagerness to take ownership, drive improvements, and challenge the status quo.
