In our quest to revolutionize the world’s infrastructure, we’re seeking a dynamic Portfolio Launch Excellence Manager for our Americas region, who will work within our global Smart Infrastructure Buildings Marketing unit and be focused on portfolio launches for our Building Automation and Fire Safety businesses.

Location: While our preferred location is our SI Buildings office in Buffalo Grove, IL, we are open to candidates based in any major city in the United States. Due to the global nature of the role, Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.


As Portfolio Launch Excellence Manager - Americas Region you will primarily be responsible for leading and overseeing the rollout of Region Americas new portfolio elements with a focus on the building automation and fire safety sectors.

In addition you will also serve as the global interface for global portfolio rollouts into region Americas. In this role you will provide a central point of contact for regional portfolio teams and sales offices and ensure region specific topics are addressed appropriately during launches.

In this role, you drive market entry efforts with a focus on the release process, as well as launch strategies aimed at accelerating product introductions, enabling sales, and providing critical feedback for continuous improvement. This role also involves ensuring clear communication and support to sales regions, monitoring regional performance, addressing challenges, and refining processes to ensure the success of each portfolio launch. This will require cross-functional work with a large number of stakeholders across countries, tech units and other functions within the SI Buildings organization.

You will report to the Global Launch Excellence Team Lead within the global marketing function of Smart Infrastructure Buildings.

The portfolio launch excellence process is an integral part of our portfolio strategy within Smart Infrastructure Buildings and this position plays a meaningful role in accelerating new portfolio introductions. We are looking for someone who is a good collaborator, able to manage multiple diverse topics simultaneously as well as comfortable with operating in a process-driven, matrixed environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead region Americas portfolio rollouts for Building Automation and Fire Safety: prepare for all aspects of portfolio rollouts, ensuring readiness across marketing, sales, training, implementation, and support across all targeted countries.
  • Serve as global interface into region Americas: act as central point of contact for Americas portfolio teams and sales offices to ensure region specific topics are addressed during global rollouts.
  • Develop and implement portfolio launch concepts: create and refine portfolio launch strategies, ensuring the development of clear, executable plans that accelerate and maximize the success of new portfolio introductions. Build and manage portfolio introduction teams focused on driving market entries before, during and post-release.
  • Ensure timely delivery and communication: maintain open lines of communication with regional teams, ensuring country readiness with the goal to accelerate new portfolio introdutions. Actively monitor and respond to regional performance during the introduction phase. You will set up regular status updates, facilitate knowledge sharing, and remove communication barriers.
  • Proactively gather and address feedback: create a feedback loop with regional teams to gather and address input from all stakeholders. You will focus on removing roadblocks and applying learnings to continuously improve the introduction process and maximize impact.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: facilitate strong relationships with other departments such as Tech Units, Functional Units and Marketing, as well as the target countries to meet launch timelines and goals.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in International Business or Engineering or a comparable qualification with a solid commercial experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience within the Building Automation and/or Fire Safety industry is preferred; experience with Siemens products would be very helpful and gives you an edge
  • Strong stakeholder management & people management skills; ability to effectively work with and influence global cross-functional teams of diverse stakeholders & cultures in a matrixed organization
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups; results oriented mindset, takes initiative with high degree of self-motivation
  • Strategic and out-of-the-box thinking, in order to brainstorm and adopt new concepts quickly
  • Strong program / project management skills; process oriented with an attention to details, strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in complex, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • A strong customer orientation sets you apart from others
  • Fluent in English and able to explain complex topics in an engageable way
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • The pay range for this position is $107,520 - $184,320 and the annual incentive target is 15%. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
