What you will do as a Financial Analyst, for Smart Infrastructure Building (SI B Pro) for Automation (AUT) and Fire System (FS) Finance for Siemens Building Products located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois:
As a Financial Analyst you will oversee the processes that support operational transparency, accurate financial statements, business planning and performance management. This role will focus on ensuring the quality of SI B Pro financial operations and meeting internal customer’s expectations, while applying digital skills and process improvement techniques to automate and streamline tasks. The role will report into the SI B Pro Finance and Business Administration Manager of our Automation (AUT) and Fire System (FS) Segments with key integration points across the SI B Pro organization.
What We Ask of You:
- Drive analysis on portfolio performance, including comparison with forecast and previous years.
- Prepare documentation for business reviews.
- Coordinate monthly forecast with Product Managers.
- Cost center controlling and month end activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, engaging on digital initiatives with focus on process automation.
- Work actively on ad hoc reporting and customized analysis, supporting senior management.
- Evaluate and align current controlling and reporting mechanisms to standardize, automate, and build digital enhancements.
- Take ownership of assigned work through to completion.
You will impress us by having the following qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, BA or related field.
- Four or more years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Applications, SAP.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced analytic skills and strong orientation to detail, with knowledge and experience with large data processing and visualization tools (e.g. Qlik Sense, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, etc.).
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Team oriented; gets along well with others; strong sense of emotional awareness; builds constructive and effective relationships.

The pay range for this position is $66,220 - $113,520. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
