Position Overview:
The Field Services Department is seeking a mid-level Materials Coordinator to manage procurement and movement of Rolling Stock FMI material to Field Sites located across the United States. As a member of the Material Management Team the incumbent will report directly to the Material Management Supervisor in the Field Services Department of Siemens Mobility, Inc.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Coordinate material support for Field Sites in the Commissioning and Warranty phases.
- Maintains open communication between Site Leads and Field Services in Sacramento.
- Develops and fosters open dialogue with Vendors.
- Works cross-functionally with all departments at Siemens Mobility, Inc.
- Arranges same-day deliveries and expedited shipments as demand requires.
- Process Orders with Siemens affiliates and third parties and process through order generation to invoice.
- Create Purchase Orders in SAP, verify configuration (Standard PO; ICB PO; Stock Transport Order), pricing, schedule to capacity, and coordinate customer delivery. Submit purchase order to Supplier.
- Monitor the order status and follow up to ensure its progress and on-time delivery.
- Update report data, maintain, run, and distribute reports (i.e. RMA, Shipment Status, Backordered Items, Material Shortages) Update procedures as needed.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to track multiple processes
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Proficient in SAP ERP systems and MS Excel
- Ability to travel to the various Field Sites across the United States.
- 3-5 years of experience.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Sales Force
- Result-oriented with the ability to plan and meet target dates
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Organizational skills for maintaining large sets of data.
- Ability to adapt to constant change and implement new processes.

This position is based in City, State. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $53,100 - $71,900. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
