The Project Manager will play a key role in the delivery of three metro projects in Kaohsiung: the North and South extensions of the Red Line (RK and RL projects) and the upgrade of the existing R/O Line. This position will be responsible for customer interface management, onshore implementation, and leading the local project team, working in close coordination with the global project organization and the overall Project Manager in Headquarters (OPM offshore).
Responsibilities:
- Act as the onshore representative, contact person, and liaison manager for the customer and external partners.
- Attend regular meetings with the customer and OPM, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on action items.
- Assign responsibilities within the project team to address customer requests and ensure timely completion.
- Lead the onshore project team, overseeing resource planning, work package prioritization, and timely execution.
- Develop and implement the project realization strategy in alignment with contract requirements.
- Provide leadership and development for team members, assigning project-specific tasks.
- Manage subcontractors for third-party supplies and installation.
- Control and actively manage onshore costs, ensuring adherence to project budget targets.
- Monitor technical progress, performance, and scheduling, making adjustments when necessary.
- Set control points and implement acceleration plans as required.
- Review and release official project documents.
Requirements:
- Experience in E&M system project management, preferably in metro projects.
- Familiarity with Taiwan metro customer and operator structures, particularly in signaling projects.
- Experience leading a team of approximately 5 people and managing subcontractors.
- Strong communication skills with different stakeholders involved in the project.
- Ability to control and manage schedules, set control points, and make decisions to implement an acceleration plan as needed
- Capability to support the overall PM in HQ in ensuring cost control and budget adherence.
