Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking a Lead Commercial Project Manager - Factory for our Sacramento, CA Plant under Rolling Stock, Manufacturing North America to support current and future production backlog. You will be fully accountable to the commercial and financial operations management through the project execution as you collaborate with internal partners. An ability to multi-task and drive actions with Production Managers for keeping the projects on schedule, on budget, and with high quality, will be essential to the role. You will lead, guide, and support Commercial Project Managers, Factory, in their roles for successful project execution. This role will be based in Sacramento, CA with a hybrid work schedule.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Provide oversight and support to Commercial Project Managers - Factory, in their responsibilities driving accountability and performance consistency.
- Establish KPIs
- Communicate risks and opportunities across platforms.
- Work with the Projects Team every month regarding the status of production hours (standard and non-standard) and any root causes identified to facilitate appropriate corrective measures, internally and/or externally to Operations
- Controlling manufacturing costs related to a platform
- Perform deviation analysis to standard hours; quarterly evaluation of the level of standard hours for platform/project and action for adjustments.
- Perform planning and reporting (monthly closing, forecasts, budget planning); identify key drivers impacting manufacturing performance.
- Ownership and creation of factory offers submitted to Rolling Stock Sales for opportunities
- Control and coordination of internal factory interfaces
- Implement and drive measures together with Production Managers to improve manufacturing performance and increase efficiency.
- Interface with functional teams, internal and external to Operations (Factory Management, Production, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Business Controlling, Enterprise Scheduling, Order Management, Performance Controlling, etc.) to drive continuous visibility on bottlenecks impacting the production value chain, and to enable the most current up to date view of any given project with the strive to proactively mitigate non-standard hours, delivering quality vehicles on time and within budget.

To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor's degree required, with a major in Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of validated experience with financial planning, accounting, and finance, with the ability to provide strategic insight through financial metrics.
- Sophisticated analytical abilities, financial modeling, strong Microsoft Excel, Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP a plus), and strong business modeling skills.
- Excellently proven verbal and written communication skills while interacting at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in an agile environment.

This position is based in Sacramento, CA. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $143,600 - $169,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
